Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the Factories (Safety Training Courses) Order.
Persons to attend safety training courses
2.  The occupier of a factory shall ensure that the classes or description of persons employed in the factory set out in the first column of the Schedule attend the safety training courses conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Training and Promotion Centre or other training institutions approved by the Chief Inspector set out opposite thereto in the second column thereof.

(1)Construction Workers:
Construction Safety Orientation Course.
 any worker employed in manual labour to carry out construction work in building and engineering construction worksites
(2)Manhole Workers:
Safety Orientation Course (Manhole).
 any worker who is carrying out work in manholes or confined spaces in building and engineering construction worksites
(3)Manhole Supervisors:
Safety Instruction Course (Manhole).
 any person who is appointed as a manhole supervisor to supervise work carried out in manholes or confined spaces in building and engineering construction worksites
(4)Formwork Supervisors:
Formwork Safety Course for Supervisors.
 any person who is appointed as a formwork supervisor to supervise the construction, erection, alteration or dismantling of formwork structures in building and engineering construction worksites
(5)Project Managers:
Construction Safety Course for Project Managers.
 any person who is appointed as a project manager to be in charge of all construction activities in building and engineering construction worksites of a contract sum of $10 million or more
(6)Oil and Petrochemical Industry Workers:
Oil and Petrochemical Safety Orientation Course for Workers.
 any worker who is carrying out work in a factory of the oil and petrochemical industry
(7)Oil and Petrochemical Industry Supervisors:
Oil and Petrochemical Industry Supervisors Safety Course.
 any person who supervises any process or work carried out in a factory of the oil and petrochemical industry
(8)Forklift Operators:
Forklift Driver’s Training Course.
 any person who drives or operates a forklift truck in a factory
(9)Metalworking Industry Workers:
Safety Orientation Course for Workers (Metalworking).
 any worker employed in manual labour to carry out work in a factory engaged in the manufacture of basic metals, fabricated metal products, machinery or equipment and electrical machinery and apparatus

(10)Metalworking Industry Supervisors:
Basic Industrial Safety and Health Course for Supervisors.
 any person who supervises any process or work carried out in a factory engaged in the manufacture of basic metals, fabricated metal products, machinery or equipment and electrical machinery and apparatus
