Wholesome Meat and Fish (Fees) Rules 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 of the Wholesome Meat and Fish Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1.  These Rules may be cited as the Wholesome Meat and Fish (Fees) Rules 2006 and shall come into operation on 1st August 2006.

Fees

2.  The fees specified in the Schedule shall be payable to the Agency in respect of the services or matters set out opposite thereto.

Revocation

3.  The Wholesome Meat and Fish (Fees) Rules (R 1) are revoked.

THE SCHEDULE

Rule 2

Part I

Fees for Licences and Permits under Part Ii of Act

Part II

Fees and application fees for Licences and Permits under Part Iii of Act

4. Licence to operate a slaughter-house for reptiles and amphibians		Section 13 of the Act		$260 per annum
4A. Application for a licence to operate a slaughter‑house referred to in item 1, 2 or 4		Section 13 of the Act		$147.20 per application
5. Permit to slaughter sheep, goats or pigs other than at a licensed slaughter-house		Section 13 of the Act		$25 per permit plus a fee of $5 per animal slaughtered
6. Licence to operate a meat or fish processing establishment where meat products or fish products in containers are hermetically sealed and thereafter preserved by subjection to heat treatment		Section 13 of the Act		$840 per annum
7. Licence to operate a meat or fish processing establishment other than of a type referred to in item 6		Section 13 of the Act		$260 per annum
8. Licence to operate a cold store		Section 13 of the Act		$260 per annum
9. Application for a licence to operate a meat or fish processing establishment referred to in item 6 or 7, or a cold store referred to in item 8		Section 13 of the Act		$147.20 per application.

Part III

Fees for Licences under Part Ii of Act and for Auctioneer’s Badges

Part V

Fees for Inspection of Meat Products and Fish Products

1. For the inspection by an authorised officer of any meat product, fish product or premises at the request of the owner thereof —
(a) professional service fee		(i) $63 per hour or part thereof
		(ii) $133 per hour or part thereof outside office hours or on an urgent basis
(b) technical service fee		(i) $38 per hour or part thereof
		(ii) $80 per hour or part thereof outside office hours or on an urgent basis
2. For the inspection by an authorised officer of pigs, sheep, goats or cattle or the carcases thereof at a licensed slaughter-house		$1.40 per animal.
