(Country Foods Pte. Ltd. — Exemption)
Notification 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Wholesome Meat and Fish Act, the Director‑General, Food Administration makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Wholesome Meat and Fish (Country Foods Pte. Ltd. — Exemption) Notification 2020 and comes into operation on 29 May 2020.

Exemption

2.—(1) Section 6(1)(d) of the Act and rule 7(1)(a) of the Wholesome Meat and Fish (Import, Export and Transhipment) Rules (R 2) do not apply to or in relation to the import of any meat product or fish product by Country Foods Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201510244D) during the period starting 29 May 2020 and ending (and including) 31 July 2020, subject to the condition in sub‑paragraph (2).

(2) Country Foods Pte. Ltd. must not sell the meat product or fish product to which the exemption in sub‑paragraph (1) applies by direct retail to consumers.
