| 1. These Rules are the Medals (COVID‑19) Rules 2022. |
| Modifications to Pingat Jasa Gemilang (The Meritorious Service Medal) Rules 1996 |
2. If the Medal instituted by the Pingat Jasa Gemilang (The Meritorious Service Medal) Rules 1996 (G.N. No. S 332/96) is awarded for a person’s contributions to Singapore’s fight against the COVID‑19 pandemic, those Rules apply to the award subject to the following modifications:

3. If the Medal instituted by the Bintang Bakti Masyarakat (The Public Service Star) Rules 1996 (G.N. No. S 333/96) is awarded for a person’s contributions to Singapore’s fight against the COVID‑19 pandemic, those Rules apply to the award subject to the following modifications:

| 1. The ribbon has a red stripe at its centre, flanked on each side by a white stripe, a light turquoise stripe, and a dark turquoise stripe, in that order. |
