Rapid Transit Systems Act

(Chapter 263A)

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Rapid Transit Systems Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification may be cited as the Rapid Transit Systems (Creation of Rights) (No. 2) Notification 2008.

Powers of Authority

2.—(1) The Authority or any person authorised by the Authority may, at any reasonable time and for the purposes of and incidental to the operation of the railway, enter upon the railway area in the land shaded and marked as TS29 Lot 00838P PT on the plan made available for inspection under paragraph 3 (referred to in this Notification as the specified land) and exercise such rights as are described in the Schedule in, under or over the area of land.

(2) This Notification shall apply in addition to such rights created under the Rapid Transit Systems (Creation of Rights) (No. 4) Notification 2007 (G.N. No. S 500/2007).

Inspection of plan

3. A copy of the plan of the railway area in the specified land shall be available for inspection by the public free of charge at the office of the Land Transport Authority of Singapore at 1 Hampshire Road, Singapore 219428 on any day from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) —

(a)	between 9 a.m. and 12 noon if the day is New Year’s eve, Christmas eve or the eve of the Lunar New Year; and
(b)	between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. of any such day.

THE SCHEDULE

Paragraph 2

1. The uninterrupted right to pass and repass with trains —

(a)	along any railway tunnel constructed under the specified land; and
(b)	along any railway viaduct constructed above the specified land,

for the purpose of the carriage of passengers by train and for all purposes necessary and incidental thereto.

2. The right of uninterrupted passage without vehicles for the purpose of access and egress to and from any railway premises constructed on, above or under any of the specified land or any other land adjoining thereto.

3. The right at all times to have any structure constructed by the Authority on, above or under the specified land for the operation of the Rapid Transit System supported, upheld and maintained by the soil and subsoil of such land.
