2.—(1) Subject to sub-paragraph (2), the Act does not apply to the purchase or acquisition by, or any transfer to, any person (other than a housing developer) of any estate or interest in any flat that is a landed dwelling‑house —| (a) | specified in the First Schedule; | | (b) | specified in the Second Schedule; | | (c) | specified in the Third Schedule; and | | (d) | specified in the Fourth Schedule. |
| (2) Section 4(2) to (10) of the Act applies to any purchase or acquisition by, or any transfer to, a foreign person of any estate or interest in any flat that is a landed dwelling‑house mentioned in sub‑paragraph (1). |
| (3) In this paragraph, “housing developer” has the meaning given by section 31(18) of the Act. |
