(Composition of Offences)
Regulations 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act 2021, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations are the Registration of Births and Deaths (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2022 and come into operation on 29 May 2022.

Compoundable offences

2.  The following offences (other than a continuing offence) may be compounded by the Registrar‑General in accordance with section 55(1) of the Act:

(a) an offence under section 7(6), 8(4), 10(6), 22(5), 23(3), 26(5), 32(5), 33(2), 35(5) or 42(3) of the Act;

(b) an offence under regulation 11(3), 16(3), 19(3) or 23(3) of the Registration of Births and Deaths Regulations 2022 (G.N. No. S 408/2022).
