3.—(1) Subject to sub‑paragraph (2), an owner or occupier of the defined land is exempt from the requirement in section 6A(1) of the Act to provide and maintain, in any private parking place on the defined land, the minimum number of parking lots for cars prescribed in rule 4(1)(a)(i) of the Parking Places (Provision of Parking Places and Parking Lots) Rules 2018 (G.N. No. S 286/2018) in respect of any approved development of the defined land.(2) The exemption under sub‑paragraph (1) ceases to apply —| (a) | in respect of any approved development mentioned in that sub‑paragraph if any building (or part of a building) within that approved development is demolished or reconstructed; or | | (b) | in respect of the defined land if the defined land is subdivided. |
