(Fort Siloso) Order 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11(1) of the Preservation of Monuments Act 2009, the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, after consulting the National Heritage Board, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order is the Preservation of Monuments (Fort Siloso) Order 2022 and comes into operation on 15 February 2022.

Monument

2.  The buildings and structures specified in the Schedule are collectively a monument placed under the protection of the Board as a national monument.

THE SCHEDULE

Specified buildings and structures of Fort Siloso

Description

The following buildings and structures of Fort Siloso:

(a) 6‑inch Quick‑Firing Mark II Gun Emplacement;

(b) Tunnel C Complex;

(c) Battery Command Post;

(d) Casemates;

(e) 6‑inch Breech Loading Gun Emplacement with Underground Magazine;

(f) Tunnel B Complex;

(g) Tunnel A Complex;

(h) Fire Director Tower, 12‑Pounder Quick‑Firing Gun Emplacement with Magazine and Searchlight Posts;

(i) 64‑Pounder Rifled Muzzle‑Loading Gun Emplacement;

(j) Sergeants’ Mess and Officers’ Mess;

(k) 7‑inch Rifled Muzzle‑Loading Gun Emplacement with Shell and Cartridge Store,

erected on the land comprised in Lots MK34‑00498A pt, MK34‑03551A, MK34‑03552K, MK34‑03553N, MK34‑03554X, MK34‑03555L, MK34‑03556C, MK34‑03557M, MK34‑03558W, MK34‑03559V, MK34‑03560M, MK34‑03561W, MK34‑03562V, MK34‑03563P, MK34‑03564T, MK34‑04087W, MK34‑04088V, MK34‑04089P and MK34‑04090W, and which are shown shaded in the Plan below.
