Preservation of Monuments Order 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of the Preservation of Monuments Act, the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, on the advice of the Preservation of Monuments Board, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Preservation of Monuments Order 2006 and shall come into operation on 15th February 2006.

Monument

2.  The monument specified in the Schedule is hereby placed under the protection of the Preservation of Monuments Board.

THE SCHEDULE

Description		Location
Old Ford Factory		The building known as Old Ford Factory erected on the land known as part Lots 58-38, 58-40pt, 1914pt, 427pt, 429pt, 15-2pt MK10 at Upper Bukit Timah Road, Singapore, being within the boundary described as follows:
		Commencing at the northern-most corner of the monuments of the aforesaid "Old Ford Factory" which point is 37,278.70 metres North and 20,880.66 metres East of the Survey Department origin of co-ordinates, the boundaries run along the successive lines of walls of bearings and distances as follows:

		to the point of commencement, and more particularly delineated in the Plan.
		The boundaries of “Old Ford Factory” are more particularly delineated and edged pink on the Preservation of Monuments Board Survey Plan No. OFF/1/02/001 filed in the office of the Preservation of Monuments Board.
