Regulations 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 117 of the Police Force Act 2004, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Police Force (Powers Upon Apprehension) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 1 January 2025.
Written laws prescribed under section 26F of Act
2.  For the purposes of section 26F(1) of the Act, each of the written laws specified in the first column of the Schedule is a written law to which section 26F of the Act applies.
Application of Division 3 of Part 6 of Criminal Procedure Code 2010 to apprehensions under prescribed written laws
3.  For the purposes of section 26F(3) of the Act, Division 3 of Part 6 of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010 applies to an apprehension of any person under a written law specified in the first column of the Schedule as it applies to an arrest, with any corresponding exception that is specified in the second column of the Schedule.

5.Section 7 of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act 2008
Sections 78(1) and (2), 81, 83(2), 85, 86(c) and 87 of the Code do not apply
6.Section 91 of the Railways Act 1905
Sections 85 and 87 of the Code do not apply
