| 1. These Rules may be cited as the University Endowments Rules. |
| 2. The Trusts more particular described in the First and Second Schedules and heretofore administered by or on behalf of the Council of Raffles College or the Council of the King Edward VII College of Medicine shall be administered by the University of Malaya (referred to in these Rules as the University). |
| 3. Any reference in the terms of any of the Trusts aforesaid to Raffles College or the King Edward VII College of Medicine shall be construed as referring to the University unless such construction is inconsistent with the express terms of any such Trusts requiring the said expression to refer to the Faculties of Arts and Sciences or the Faculty of Medicine of the University and any reference in the terms of any of the Trusts aforesaid to the Council of Raffles College or to the Council of the King Edward VII College of Medicine shall be construed as referring to the Council of the University, and any reference to the President of either of the said Colleges shall be contrued as referring to the Vice-Chancellor of the University. |
| FIRST SCHEDULE |
| Trusts on Behalf of Raffles College |
| (1) The Sir John Anderson Scholarship whereby a sum of $16,000 was settled by Dame Winifred Ethel Dunbar Anderson. |
| (2) The Singapore Bar Memorial Scholarship being the sum of $32,357.32 settled by the Singapore Bar Committee. |
| (3) The Kelantan Scholarship being the sum of $32,700.04 settled by the government of Kelantan under the terms of a declaration dated 6th November 1919. |
| (4) The Clifford Fund being the sum of $62,673.03 instituted on 23rd July 1929 for the general purposes of the Raffles College. |
| (5) All endowments, donations, subscriptions and other moneys whatsoever held by Raffles College or the Council therefor for the purposes of the College and formerly credited in the Exhibitions and Grants Account of that College. |
| SECOND SCHEDULE |
| Trusts on Behalf of the King Edward Vii College of Medicine |
| (1) The King Edward VII Memorial Fund being the sum of $127,778.21 established on the Trust resolved by the Committee of the said Fund on 4th June and 4th November 1912. |
| (2) The Rockfeller Fund being the sum of $364,535.58 settled by resolutions of the Rockfeller Foundation on 25th February 1925 and 13th April 1932. |
| (3) The Liew Weng Chee Scholarship Fund being the sum of $150,000 settled by a Deed of Settlement dated 7th October 1946, and made between Liew Kwong Hon of the one part and the Council of the King Edward VII College of Medicine of the other part. |
| (4) The Permanent Fund of the Council of the King Edward VII College of Medicine being the sum of $129,722.90 held in trust for the general purposes of the College of Medicine. |
| (5) The King Edward VII College of Medicine Students' War Memorial Fund being the sum of $3,487.70 held by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the Bursar of the University of Malaya in trust for the general purposes of the College of Medicine. |
