Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) Order 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44(1) of the Newspaper and Printing Presses Act, the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) Order 2005 and shall come into operation on 17th June 2005.

Exemption

2.—(1)  Newspapers printed and published by the advisory bodies specified in the Schedule shall be exempted from section 21 of the Act.

(2)  Newspapers printed or published by or under the auspices of any statutory body constituted by or under any public Act for a public purpose shall be exempted from section 21 of the Act.

Cancellation

3.  The Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) (Statutory Bodies) Notification (N 6) is cancelled.
