Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44(1) of the Newspaper and Printing Presses Act, the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2006 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2006.

Exemption

2.—(1)  Publications by government, government-aided and independent schools in Singapore and the corporations specified in the Schedule shall be exempted from section 21 of the Act.

(2)  The Registrar may, at any time, by written notice to any school or corporation revoke an exemption of any publication referred to in sub-paragraph (1).

Cancellation

3.  The Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) (Schools Publications) Notification (N 3) is cancelled.
