| Citation |
| 1. These Rules may be cited as the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Applications and Licences) Rules. |
| Application for licence to keep any press |
| 2. Every application made under section 3 of the Act for a licence to keep and use any press for the printing of documents shall be made in duplicate by the applicant in such form as the Minister may from time to time direct. |

| 3. Every licence granted under section 3 of the Act shall be substantially in the form set out in the Schedule. |
| THE SCHEDULE |

| This Licence is not transferable. It will cease to be valid in the event of any change in the holder or location as specified in the Licence. |
|
| 1. The holder of this Licence must have obtained prior planning permission for the use of the premises as a printing press from the Urban Redevelopment Authority or any other relevant authority. |
| 2. Every document printed within Singapore shall have printed legibly on its first or last printed leaf the name of its printer and publisher as required under section 5(1) of the Newspaper and Printing Presses Act. |
| 3. A newspaper permit is required for the printing or publication of any newspaper as defined in the Newspaper and Printing Presses Act. The holder of this Licence must ensure that there is a valid newspaper permit in respect of any newspaper to be printed by the holder of this Licence. The holder of this Licence may inspect the original copy of the permit or check with the Registrar of Newspapers should there be any doubt. |
| 4. Failure to comply with any condition to which this Licence is subject could result in the Licence being withdrawn either permanently or for such period as the Minister thinks fit under section 3(1) of the Newspaper and Printing Presses Act. [S 303/2004 wef 28/05/2004] |
