In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 16D(1) and 16E(1) of the Maintenance of Religious Harmony Act 1990, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order is the Maintenance of Religious Harmony (Application of Sections 16D and 16E) Order 2025 and comes into operation on 1 January 2026.

Application of sections 16D and 16E of Act

2.—(1)  For the purposes of section 16D(1) of the Act, the declared date is 1 January 2026.

(2)  For the purposes of section 16E(1) of the Act, the declared date is 1 January 2026.
