The Minister for National Development has specified that the provisions of section 6 of the Act shall not apply to the following buildings or class of buildings:

(1) to any flat forming part of a building shown in a subdivision plan approved by the Competent Authority as constituting a building unit of two flats;

(2) to flats on subdivided buildings controlled, managed and administered by the Port of Singapore Authority;

(3) to flats comprised in the buildings known as Orchard Court erected on the land known as Lot 227 Town Subdivision 20;
