Citation
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Feeding Stuffs (Composition of Offences) Rules.
Compoundable offences
2.—(1)  The following offences may be compounded by the Director-General, or any officer authorised by him, in accordance with section 199A of the Criminal Procedure Code:
(a)an offence under section 4(5) or 10 of the Act; and
(b)any offence under the Feeding Stuffs (Licensing, Analysis and Fees) Rules (R 1).
(2)  The Director-General, or any officer authorised by him, may compound any of the offences specified in paragraph (1) by collecting from the person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum of money not exceeding one half of the maximum fine prescribed for the offence.
