Estate Agents (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2010

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 69 and 72 of the Estate Agents Act 2010, the Council for Estate Agencies, with the approval of the Minister for National Development, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Estate Agents (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2010 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2010.

Compoundable offences

2.  The following offences may be compounded, in accordance with section 69 of the Act, by the Executive Director or any officer authorised by him:

(a) any offence (other than a continuing offence) under section 28(2), 29(3), 33(6), 34(7), 37(6), 39(2), 40(3), 41(3), 43(6), 43A(3) or (4), 64(1)(a) or 65(4) or (5) of the Act;

(b) any offence under regulation 5(3), 6(2), 7(3), 8(2) or 9(3) of the Estate Agents (Estate Agency Work) Regulations 2010 (G.N. No. S 644/2010);

(c) any offence under regulation 17(3) of the Estate Agents (Disciplinary Proceedings) Regulations 2011 (G.N. No. S 152/2011);

(d) any offence under rule 17(3) of the Estate Agents (Appeals) Rules 2010 (G.N. No. S 643/2010).
