Electricity (Electricity Trading Licence) (Exemption) Order 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Electricity Act, the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Electricity (Electricity Trading Licence) (Exemption) Order 2009 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2010.

Exemption from section 6(1)( f ) of Act

2.  Section 6(1)(f) of the Act shall not apply to any person who trades in the wholesale electricity market for the sole purpose of purchasing electricity wholly for his own consumption.
