Rules 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 52 of the Extradition Act 1968, the Minister for Law makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Extradition (Application for Warrant) Rules 2022 and come into operation on 1 July 2022.
Application for warrant
2.  An application to a Magistrate mentioned in section 12(1)(a)(ii) of the Act for the issue of a warrant for the apprehension of a fugitive who is, or is suspected of being, in or on his or her way to Singapore must be made in accordance with the Form set out in the Schedule.
Revocation
3.  The Extradition (Application for Warrant) Rules (R 1) are revoked.

Application for Warrant

   To                                                , a District Judge [or Magistrate] of Singapore.
   I,                               , of                                                , inform you that                                                                                         (referred to in this Application as the fugitive) is accused (or has been convicted) of the offence of                                                               alleged to have been committed (or committed) in (or within the jurisdiction of)                                                                                             and that the fugitive is (or is suspected of being) in (or on his or her way to) Singapore, and I apply for the issue of a warrant for the apprehension of the fugitive.
