(Exemption under Section 97) (No. 4)
Order 2011

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 97 of the Co-operative Societies Act, MG (NS) Chan Chun Sing, Minister of State, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Co-operative Societies (Exemption under Section 97) (No. 4) Order 2011 and shall come into operation on 25th November 2011.

Exemption

2.  TCC Credit Co-operative Limited is exempted from the requirement in section 39(3A) of the Act that membership of individuals in a credit society is to be restricted to individuals who belong to a field of membership consisting of a pre-existing common bond of association or community of interest among the members thereof.
