Co-operative Societies (Composition of Offences) Rules 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 95 and 100F of the Co-operative Societies Act, the Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1.  These Rules may be cited as the Co-operative Societies (Composition of Offences) Rules 2008 and shall come into operation on 15th December 2008.

Compoundable offences

2.  Any offence (other than a continuing offence) under —

(a) section 16A(9), 16B(2), 34(9), 35(9), 65A(4), 93A(6), 97C(3), 99(2) or 100(1)(a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g) or (h) or (2) of the Act; or

(d) rule 6(2), 7A(2) or 9(2) of the Co-operative Societies Rules 2009 (G.N. No. S 349/2009),

may be compounded by the Registrar in accordance with section 100F of the Act.
