Co-operative Societies Act

(Chapter 62)

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 97 of the Co-operative Societies Act, the Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Co-operative Societies (Exemption under Section 97) (No. 6) Order 2010 and shall come into operation on 21st October 2010.

Exemption

2. NTUC Foodfare Co-operative Limited is exempted from the requirement in section 39(2) of the Act that membership in any secondary society is to be restricted to registered co-operative societies, trade unions and platform work associations.
