Co-operative Societies (Modification of
Co-operative Societies Rules under Section 97)
Order 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 97 of the Co‑operative Societies Act, the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Co‑operative Societies (Modification of Co‑operative Societies Rules under Section 97) Order 2014 and shall come into operation on 6th August 2014.

Modification of rule 6 of Co-operative Societies Rules 2009

2.  Rule 6(1) of the Co‑operative Societies Rules 2009 (G.N. No. S 349/2009) shall, in its application to the Singapore National Co‑operative Federation Limited, be modified to the extent that the Singapore National Co‑operative Federation Limited shall change its auditor at least once every 6 years, either to another auditor from the same auditing firm or company or to another auditor from a different auditing firm or company.
