Notification 2026

In exercise of the powers conferred by the definition of “prescribed law enforcement agency” in section 112(5) of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010, the Prime Minister makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Notification is the Criminal Procedure Code (Prescribed Law Enforcement Agency) Notification 2026 and comes into operation on 12 February 2026.

Prescribed law enforcement agency

2.  The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau is prescribed as a law enforcement agency for the purposes of section 112(1)(c) of the Code.
