(Composition of Offences)
(Revocation) Regulations 2026
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16(2) of the Computer Misuse Act 1993, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Computer Misuse (Composition of Offences) (Revocation) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 30 January 2026.
Revocation
2.  Revoke the Computer Misuse (Composition of Offences) Regulations (Rg 1).
Saving provision
3.  Despite regulation 2, the Commissioner of Police, or any person authorised by the Commissioner of Police, may, in accordance with regulation 2 of the Computer Misuse (Composition of Offences) Regulations as in force immediately before 30 January 2026, compound an offence under section 3(1), 5(1), 6(1), 7(1) or 8 of the Act that is committed before that date.
