Citation
1.  These Rules are the Control of Manufacture Rules 1959.
Application for registration under section 5 of Act
2.  An application for registration under section 5 of the Act must be in the Form A set out in the Schedule and the application must be accompanied by a written statement giving detailed information regarding —
(a)the particular goods in respect of which registration is sought;
(b)the amount of authorised, subscribed and paid‑up capital of the enterprise;
(c)the amount of capital raised in Singapore, and the amounts raised in each country outside Singapore;
(d)the name and address of the bankers of the enterprise; and
(e)the facts (if any) on which the applicant relies to satisfy the Minister that immediately before the specification of the goods or class of goods in respect of which registration is sought the applicant had bona fide made substantial preparations for or incurred expense with a view to their manufacture in Singapore.
Register of manufacturers
3.  The Registrar must ensure that all forms of application received pursuant to rule 2 and approved for registration are serially numbered and bound in volumes which must be kept and maintained by the Registrar as the register of manufacturers.
Endorsement of conditions of registration made under section 5(2) of Act
4.  The Registrar must ensure that all application forms bound pursuant to rule 3 are endorsed with such conditions of registration as may have been imposed.
Endorsement of decision of Minister
5.  Where a decision has been made by the Minister in relation to a condition imposed by the Registrar, the Registrar must ensure that an endorsement is made relating to the decision on the relevant application form in the register of manufacturers.
Certificates of registration
6.  The Registrar must grant to a person registered under the provisions of the Act a certificate of registration in the Form B set out in the Schedule and the certificate must be endorsed with such conditions as may have been imposed under section 5(2) of the Act.
Fee
7.  The fee payable on registration is $10.
