Civil Defence Shelter
(Exemption) Order 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the Civil Defence Shelter Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation

1.  This Order is the Civil Defence Shelter (Exemption) Order 2021.

Exemption

2.—(1)  Section 3(1) of the Act does not apply in relation to the single‑storey detached house that is or is to be constructed on Lot 05443N of MK 17 at Sime Road, in respect of which written permission was granted on 14 September 2020, so long as the gross floor area of the house does not exceed 29.54 square metres.

(2)  In this paragraph —

“gross floor area” has the same meaning as “floor area” in rule 2 of the Planning (Development) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 113/2008);

“written permission” has the meaning given by section 2 of the Planning Act 1998.
