Remuneration of assessors

(2)  An assessor is to be paid, in addition to paragraph (1), a transport allowance under regulation 4.
Transport allowance
4.  An assessor may be allowed for each day’s attendance in court a fixed sum, not exceeding $20, as the authorising officer thinks fit, as transport allowance for travel between the place where his or her attendance is required and his or her place of stay in Singapore, regardless of the mode of transport actually used or the actual expense or charge incurred for the transport.
Time for submission of claims
5.  An assessor must submit his or her claim in respect of his or her remuneration (including the transport allowance) to the authorising officer in any form that the authorising officer may require no later than 2 months after accrual of the claim.

6.  The authorising officer may disallow any claim or part of any claim which, in his or her view, is unreasonable or which has been unnecessarily incurred.
Certification of remuneration
