Order 2013

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 39B(1) of the Charities Act, the Commissioner of Charities hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Charities (Restriction of Fund‑raising Appeal) Order 2013 and shall come into operation on 11th November 2013.

Restriction

2.  Project Awareness (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 201320571D) shall not conduct (or continue to conduct) any fund‑raising appeal unless all the following conditions are satisfied:

(a) it has proper systems and control in place to ensure compliance with the Charities (Fund‑raising Appeals for Local and Foreign Charitable Purposes) Regulations 2012 (G.N. No. S 530/2012);

(b) the individual known as William Soh Sim Song (NRIC No. S7638187I) is not involved, directly or indirectly, in the conduct and management of any fund‑raising appeal;

(c) any bank account for the receipt of proceeds from any fund‑raising appeal it conducts must be in the name of Project Awareness (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and no other.
