| | In the centre is the Singapore Arms with the year‑date “2015” below it, and the word “SINGAPORE” in the 4 official languages around the circumference of the coins. The position of the mintmark is at 5 o’clock for all the proof coins. |
| | Inspired by Chinese calligraphy, the goat in the centre is symbolised by the appropriate Chinese character of the “Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches” to enhance the characteristics of the animal and the oriental cultural flavour. The peony, a traditional Chinese symbol of blessings and festive cheer, is incorporated into the body of the goat and ushers in the Lunar New Year. The 2 Chinese characters signifying the “Year of the Goat” are at the upper centre of the design. The denomination of the coin in figures is below the design and the weight in troy oz/grams and fineness are at the lower circumference for all the coins except for the $2 cupro‑nickel coin. |
