Pursuant to section 17(5) of the Currency Act, it is hereby notified for general information that the denominations and characteristics of the coins to be issued on 1st January 2014 by the Monetary Authority of Singapore are as shown in the Schedule.

Each of the 12 coins surrounding the centre coin features the design of the animals depicted in the first Almanac Coin Series. The year of issue of that animal is above the design. The 2 Chinese characters signifying the year of the animal are at the lower‑left while the denomination “$2” is at the lower‑right.
