The back design features a symbol of long-lasting currency interchangeability agreement between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore, comprising 2 interlocking “C” in the centre with the words “Brunei Darussalam Singapore Currency Interchangeability Agreement 1967 — 2007”. At the centre of the symbol are the state crests of both countries and the words “FORTY YEARS”. At the left-hand side of the interlocking “C” symbol, the Esplanade and skyline of the Singapore financial district are depicted.
