Broadcasting Act

(Chapter 28)

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Broadcasting Act, the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Broadcasting (Exemption) Order 2008 and shall come into operation on 10th March 2008.

Exemption

2.—(1) The Minister hereby exempts from Part X of the Act any broadcasting company which holds a Niche Subscription TV Licence granted by the Authority under section 8 of the Act.

(2) The Minister may, at any time, revoke the exemption of any broadcasting company under sub-paragraph (1) by written notice to the broadcasting company.
