PART 1 | 1. This Act is the Pharmacists Registration Act 2007. |
2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires —| “appropriate register” means any of the registers mentioned in section 15(1), as appropriate; |
| “Board” means the Specialists Accreditation Board established under section 36; |
| “Chief Pharmacist” means the Chief Pharmacist of the Ministry of Health; |
| “Council” means the Singapore Pharmacy Council established under section 3; |
| “practice of pharmacy” means any of the acts or activities specified in the Schedule; |
| “practising certificate” means a practising certificate granted under section 23; |
| “president” means the president of the Council; |
| “registered pharmacist” means a person who is registered as a pharmacist under this Act; |
| “Registrar” means the Registrar of the Council; |
“Singapore degree” means a degree or diploma in pharmacy conferred by —| (a) | the King Edward VII College of Medicine, Singapore; | | (b) | the University of Malaya, Singapore; | | (c) | the University of Singapore; | | (d) | the National University of Singapore; or | | (e) | any other tertiary institution in Singapore which the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, prescribe; |

“unauthorised person” means —| (a) | a person who is not a registered pharmacist; or | | (b) | a registered pharmacist who does not have a valid practising certificate, |
| and who has not been exempted under section 70 or 71. |
