The Cabinet:
– having reviewed the Constitution;
– Federal Law No. (28) of 2001 Establishing Emirates Authority For Standardization and Metrology, as Amended,
– Based on the approval of the Cabinet,
Hereby resolves as follows:
Article (1)
The adopted standard No. (UAE.S 5021:2018) entitled “Terrestrial Radio Receivers” shall be a mandatory standard to be applied in the United Arab Emirates.
Article (2)
The provisions hereof shall apply as follows:
1. The Standard shall apply to all home and other portable receivers, as of 1 January 2010.
2. The Standard shall apply to the vehicles that are supplied to the State starting from models 2021 at, at least, (50 %) of the vehicles, and shall apply to vehicles starting from models 2024 at (100 %).
Article (3)
This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force from the dates set forth in Article (2).
