The Cabinet,
− Having reviewed the Constitution,
− Federal Law No. (1) of 1972 Regarding the Competences of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers; as amended,
− Federal Law No. (28) of 2001 Regarding the Establishment of the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology; as amended,
− Cabinet Resolution No. (1) of 2017 Regarding the Application of Mandatory Standard Specifications for the United Arab Emirates; and,
− Upon the approval of the Cabinet,
Hereby resolves as follows:

Article (1)

The (5) five standard specifications applicable to the food sector, whose numbers and titles are set out in the Schedule attached to this Resolution, shall be deemed mandatory standard specifications in the United Arab Emirates.

Article (2)

All concerned entities existing at the time this Resolution enters into force shall regularize their status in accordance with its provisions within (180) one hundred and eighty days from the date of its entry into force.
 

Article (3)

This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force on the day following the date of its publication.
