The Cabinet:
– Having reviewed the Constitution,
– Federal Law No. (1) of 1972 on the Competences of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, as amended,
– Penal Code Promulgated by Federal Law No. (3) of 1987, as amended,
– Code of Criminal Procedure Promulgated by Federal Law No. (35) of 1992, as amended,
– Based on the Proposal of the Minister of Justice approved by the Cabinet Approval,
Hereby resolved as follows:
Article (1)
The community services works which the convicted persons may be ordered to carry out under the provisions of Article (120) of the Penal Code referred to above shall include the following:
1. Memorizing and teaching whatever is convenient from the Holy Qur’an.
2. Serving at the Disabled Home Care Centers.
3. Serving at the nursing homes.
4. Serving at Juvenile welfare centers.
5. Serving at nurseries and kindergartens.
6. Serving at maternity and childhood centers or women’s associations.
7. Serving at traffic departments.
8. Emergency medical services and transportaion of injured people.
9. Civil Defense Works.
10. Fundraising or distributing the aids and donations.
11. Teaching at adult education centers.
12. Cleaning or maintenance of mosques.
13. Cleaning and maintenance of public facilities, roads, streets, public squares, beaches, public parks or protected areas.
14. Participating in the activities and events and selling tickets.
15. nutritional surveillance works.
16. Planting and maintenance of public parks.
17. Loading and unloading containers in ports.
18. Caring for birds and animals in zoos.
19. Fuel filling or any other works at gas stations.
Article (2)
This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gaze and shall enter into force one month following the publication date thereof.
